Year of the Rabbit!

2011 was the year of the rabbit in the Chinese zodiac. Mhyia was born on September 3rd, 2011. That makes her a rabbit. We learned from a friend who is in China that many Chinese plan their families around the zodiac and that the year of the rabbit is a particularly popular year for child-bearing. In fact there was apparently a mad dash last year to reproduce baby 'rabbits'.

Why? Children born under this sign are the happiest of all. They are friendly, outgoing and enjoy the company of others.

The Chinese Rabbit is one of the most stylish creatures of the Chinese Animal Signs and finds interest in different cultures. He is classy and sophisticated, and can be found adorning one of the latest fashion magazine cover looks. Rabbits also like artistic ventures, such as painting and music and are generally quite present in these worlds. They love top express themselves, which is evident when joining them at home for a function or a cup of coffee.

Metal rabbit - 2011

Metal gives Rabbits a more resilient demeanour than the other more quiet Rabbit. These Rabbits are very ambitious and can be quite crafty in their dealings with others. They throw themselves and their emotions into everything they do, making them intense lovers, but not outwardly affectionate lovers. Their determination can affect their work as well, whether through personal relationships with colleagues or with the work itself, a Rabbit can be known to immerse himself in his projects…business and personal.
Love it!! Sounds like she is going to fit in perfectly!! Can't wait to have our little bunny rabbit home!!

oh ya, and I just read the description of the Rabbit you posted...SO TRUE, and along with the intensity, comes a HUGE stubborn streak...My rabbit is an Amazing artist who wil go to extremes in detail to complete a project/homework/birthday party themes are "over the top"...the list is endless. It was cute in kindergarten...but now as a 13 yr old...not so much...DETERMINED is an understatement...enjoy!

Wow, so love your post...I may have to steal that one for myself. I didn't know all of that about the Rabbit. Emma, was born the year of the Rabbit sign and so was I back in 1963 - I have prayed and prayed for a rabbit before we got our referral. And she so fits our family!
