China Day 12 - June 11th

Well today was a pretty uneventful day!  We had to go to the Canadian consulate to apply for Mhyia's visa so she can travel home.  We first had to go to the SOS medical clinic which was beautiful inside.  It was just like a Dr's office at home, well nicer than my Dr's office!!!  We did not have to see the Dr for Mhyia because we are doing direct citizenship and it is not a requirement but David and Madeline they are doing immigration sponsorship and they had to have the medical for Declan.

The nurse was kind enough to weigh Mhyia for us and she weighed 8kg so approx 17lbs and I believe she said 71cm.  This is about what we were thinking, she fits in her 6-12 month clothes perfectly and her 9 month jammies, even her 12 month jammies are good on her.

Of course she fell asleep on her buggy in her favorite position again lol - it is too funny!

Zzzzz.....

After we left there we went to the Canadian consulate, which was so disappointing!  We thought we would go in and there would be a big sign or flag, somewhere where we could take pics etc... But no.  We went down a side alley to an entrance labelled "business development" we didn't even go inside, they came out and met us in the doorway??  So ridiculous!  Oh well!  We should get them in a day or so.

After that we just went back to the hotel and hung out,we all went swimming again which Mhyia loves! When we went back to the hotel we went out for a walk and went through a mall, and we had McDonalds for lunch!  As soon as you go to the counter at McDonalds they pull out a laminated menu in English with pictures and you point to what you want - too funny!! Also Mhyia was a pooping machine today!  I think she went 6 times today!!  I guess all those prunes worked lol.

For dinner we just went to the restaurant downstairs, it was soooooo good, a little bit pricey but very good.  We then headed up to our room and started our bedtime routine!

Mhyia is starting to show her personality more which is sooo cute, Mike calls her his Tiger Lilly and roars at her and of course now she is doing it too!  She will look now when we call her name, she has started to blow raspberries or at least she is trying.  We are starting to understand her cries much more now, tired versus STARVING for example lol.  She has rolled over from her front to her back once on her own but she can't roll to her stomach from her back.  She sits up very well on her own now and LOVES to grab her feet.  We already feel like she is bigger than when we got her and we don't want her to change, she's just so sweet (most of the time lol).
